About Me

I’m genuinely passionate about my career and what I do with my free time. Learn more about both below.

My career spans over 15 years across the SaaS (Customer Interaction Research), Financial Services, K-12 Education, and Outdoor / Conservation industries. In that time, I’ve worked in truly rewarding roles for some pretty rad organizations. I'm naturally inquisitive and I enjoy thinking about and collaborating with others on how products, processes, and relationships can be improved. I ponder brainstorming conversations long after they're over, researching and considering ideas and applying them to existing challenges. Most of all, I'm driven to succeed and to ensuring those around me are successful as well.

Skilled in agile and waterfall management traditions and borrowing from systematic and applied research techniques, I utilize different frameworks to solve problems and to meet the needs of stakeholders. I firmly believe that fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge exchange from diverse perspectives is instrumental in creating a collaborative environment and driving the creation of innovative, inclusive solutions.

“A good PM has to be a kick-ass BA!”

— ANONYMOUS INTELLIGENT PERSON

I’m not the author of the quote but I’ll be the first to say that my years of experience as a business and data analyst have given me the ability to dive into the details and connect with people across functions. I’ve applied a multitude of research methods that have resulted in richer, more meaningful data and requirements. I’ve found that experience to be invaluable.

In My Free Time:

In 2019, after months of research and planning, my husband Ben and I built our camper van, Zephyr. Complete with solar, an induction cooktop, recirculating shower, radiant heated floors and many other features - it was definitely a labor of love! Zephyr allows us to travel and explore in comfort during our off-time. Our fur baby Gracie Bell joins us on our adventures.

Brown Girls Climb Meetup

I really enjoy technical rock climbing. It's a love that I've developed over the last few years and one that both challenges me and keeps me grounded. I also volunteer with Brown Girls Climb, an organization focused on improving access for women of color in rock climbing. I organize meetups for women to learn to rock climb in safe, fun environments. I also train organizational leaders on developing inclusive practices and removing barriers for underrepresented people in the outdoor-industry workplace.

Outwild Festival

I occasionally speak, write, and volunteer for organizations that support sustainability, land conservation, equity, inclusion, and diversity. This photo is from the 2018 Outwild Festival where I gave participants concrete tools to balance the things they value in life. I have written and collaborated on articles for Outdoor Retailer and Elevation Outdoors magazines and have been featured for the time I spend working with community in outdoor spaces.

I’m a fearless karaoke singer & back-up dancer.

I was born and raised in South Georgia, USA (officially known as a GRITS).

I enjoy gardening, learning about food sustainability and agricultural best practices.

I’m fourth of 10 children - yeah, I’ve got a few stories.
